Re: I bought my first glock today...really...
They dont. they are just fiddle f@#!$g around now Gen 3 was perfect.
I was a glock hater for a long time. They have grown on me, starting with my love of 10mm (I own one of each model in 10mm) .
Now I carry a G26 with 12 round magpul mags and cant imagine anything else for CCW.

I bought a 17 a long time ago and hated it so much i bought a 19. I hated it also so I bought a 43. When I get some cash saved up I'm gonna get either a 26 or a 17L
Love em or hate em, many, many people trust their life with them. Myself included.

I still haven't shot mine yet. But I did find my trigger pull gauge. I'll get around to checking it soon to confirm or deny my suspicion that somebody lightened the trigger pull.

I measured the trigger pull at just over 5 1/2 pounds consistently. Sometimes a little more and sometimes less. You know how those gauges are if you don't pull the trigger in the same spot.
Unfortunately, I don't know what a stock Glock measures.
I'm happy with the pull the way it is.

Re: I bought my first glock today...really...
I have Gen 3.5 G19 the 2002 update, bought in 2002. I lost the count of ammo thru it long time ago but I am guestimating at least 20K rounds. I can count failures on it with half the fingers of one hand. It had the best trigger out of all polymers up until now. I have to say that M&P 2.0 I just snagged for the prettier half is actually pretty damn good in trigger department. M&P gets points off for politically correct features. I am not a lawyer but I'm very leery of modifying any internals on my carry guns though, so if yours had custom trigger work done consider restoring it back to the factory original via certified glock armorer.

I didn't get it for carry. I carry a Beretta 92fs. Just something different.

Re: I bought my first glock today...really...
Have never shot a Glock as I'm fairly new to handguns but would like to at some point to see why the millions swear to them. My first and edc gun is a Shield and got pretty good with it for being a short barrel and all but a few months ago got a M&P 2.0 4.25 and found it to be orgasmic in it's accuracy, comfortability and trigger feel compared to my Shield. Still carrying the Shield because of concealment concerns and don't mind the firmer trigger for safety reasons. But yes, the M&P 2.0s rule. Did I mention the grip texture?
