If Glocks are perfection, why do they keep "improving" them.

Re: I bought my first glock today...really...
I look at the Glock the same way I do the small block Chevy V8. The same basic product with minor changes here and there for decades on end, because it was just about right the first time around.
There will always be alternatives that will be better or worse in some way, but it's hard to debate that the Glock, just like the Chevy, works and keeps working unless completely abused... and even then more often than not.

'Glock Perfection" is B.S., but Glock accuracy, reliability and convertibility are all real. Not my "Perfect" pistol but I now own 4 Glocks for a reason, I trust my life to them.

Congrats... became a Glock owner about 5 or so years ago. G21 and G19 are both serving me well along with my S&W, Colt and Browning Handguns.

Re: I bought my first glock today...really...
I like how my friend's STI felt and shot the best out of any gun I've had so far. I enjoyed my M&P, after swapping out the sear. I've had fun with , Springfield, Sig, CZ, Kimber, Beretta, and Browning.
All that being said, while Glock wasn't my first choice, it's quickly grown to become the choice for duty and carry. It's not the sexiest gun out of the box, but it does its job well. On top of that, you've got a huge host of aftermarket parts if you want to tune yours up.
Glad they're finally doing away with the finger grooves and adding a flared magwell. Now if they'd just make metal sights as the basic OEM sights...

I really wish Glock would focus more on ergonomics. If they put out a gun like the VP9 or the new Walther I would trade in my gen3.
