Re: Carry Permit With You
I think that is really splitting hairs. And I am from the LTCF unfriendly city of Brotherly Love.
If someone showed me a photocopy, photograph, photostat, mimeograph of their LTCF and when questioned stated that they don’t want to damage or loose the original, I wouldn’t have a problem. If it came up revoked after it was run through the system, that is another story.
I remember a person or two showing me a photocopy of their drivers license and many, many photocopies of Registration Cards (especially fleets) and there was never any issue with a photocopy.
I will say the best bet is carrying the origional though.

Rules are written in the stone,
Break the rules and you get no bones,
all you get is ridicule, laughter,
and a trip to the house of pain.

Re: Carry Permit With You
The bad Philly cops (and their administration) have no problem in making up rules without a shred of statutory text, like "you have to tell the officer that you have a gun" and "if you have a gun stolen from your car, that's an automatic LTCF revocation.
I have no problem believing that they would make a big deal about one of the little people producing a copy of the license instead of "the license", where the statute actually requires you to show the license.Attorney Phil Kline, AKA gunlawyer001@gmail.com

Re: Carry Permit With You
In my cell phone I have photos of operator's license, LTCF and other key documents in case my wallet is lost or stolen. I would hope such visuals would stop reasonable suspicion from ratcheting up to probable cause. In fact, I would think it should eliminate reasonable suspicion that I am an undocumented subject.

Re: Carry Permit With You
I've managed to carry my drivers license since the day I turned 15 (a long, long time ago, in a land far,far away) and my LTCF since 199? without thought or concern. Can't imagine leaving home without it.
