Feds still shoot the MP5 (MP10 ??) chambered in 10mm. It has a fluted chamber and ruins about 25% of the brass on the first fire, but its useable for 1 or 2 more reloads. Sometimes more. Its why I can compete in IDPA lost brass matches with 10mm. Lots of cheap brass.

BTW I've only seen Federal manufactured brass for the 10mm in surplus.

Brass auctions are on average once a month across the US. I've probly bought over 20,000lbs of brass so far.

Remember when your bidding you are bidding with the big boys. You will not get it dirt cheap and they have way more money than you. Also fill out your end use user agreement and have it on file before you bid. Makes the process after you win much easier.

Also. Feel free to buy a duece and a half, boat, pool table, or what ever else our gov is junking.

    Currently 86 active brass auctions.

I have 4 10mms. I wouldnt buy a Delta Elite. Underwood, and double tap specifically state DE cant handle their ammo and have a separate loading for them. Id rather have a Kimber for the same price, but honestly id buy a RIA or the New Ruger 1911 10mm is very nice. I have three glocks and a RIA 1911 in 10mm. I load mine with a 150gr nosler and am getting 1490fps. Underwood claims this on theirs as well, but chrono shows me about 1350. Mine should be good for about 780 of energy. About another 100fps out of the G40mos.

    Thanks

YouTube some penetration tests. The 10 will penetrate better than the 45 wth similar loads. I believe 40 Cal is the.perfect balance of power and penetration

Btw. Sold a 45 Sig TacOps to purchase my first Glock, G20 and about 500 rounds of ammo. Starting to reload. Never was a huge Glock fan but sure do love the 20. Ass kicker.

These numbers arent very accurate. 10mm will push 180s out at 1300-1350ish. You may be able to load a .45 with 180gr and send them out at 1150ish, but the guns arent meant to handle that kind of pressure.
