Sling options for an AR noob...
Recently purchased a s&w m&p15t. I noticed it only has one sling mount on the back. I imagine that is for a single point sling?
What if I wanted to add a standard sling? How would I attach it to the quad rail? Or does that not even make sense?
I'm not competing. Just looking for a convenient way to hold the rifle when walking or as additional support for shooting.

Google "quick release sling mount."
Thats what the round holes are for, in the rail.
Here is an example:

I love my vickers sling. Has QD mounts. Quick detach. Made by blue force gear.

Empty Mag turned me onto the "Proctor Sling". Hopefully he'll be along to share some nice pics for you.

Another vote for Blue force / Vickers.
I'm only here for the wood c-rings.

You guys rock! I had no idea about this quick detach sling.
Looks cheap and just what I need.
I'll check out the other slings shortly.
