Re: Ungawa memorial Shoot
It depends on how much $$ you feel comfortable sending downrange.
I'm bringing about 300-400 rounds of 5.56/.223, about 100 rounds of .303 British, about 100 rounds of .30-06, 400 rounds of .40 S&W, and about 1300 rounds of .22lr. I bet I bring more than half of my ammo back home.

Re: Ungawa memorial Shoot
Thanks guys.
I wasn't sure if there was an informal expectation of supplying ammo.
300-500 rounds per caliber sounds good.
Maybe less for the 686, shooting 357 is expensive :|
I'm bringing an extra 500 rounds of 223 originally from Ed that will be available to all.
I think it's proper to donate it in Ed's honor. How can you have any cookies if you don't drink your milk?

Re: Ungawa memorial Shoot
You do have to ride back with him after eating copius amounts of bacon and chili though. I'm guessing there'll be plenty of gas on the return trip too.
I'll have to throw an AR in the car to shoot a few of them then. I usually bring an ammo can of what ever I bring to shoot. That way I can let other people have fun with it. Not sure how much I'm bringing along with me yet.

Re: Ungawa memorial Shoot
Just got back from doing my civic duty of voting. Forecast still looks pretty good that will determine what I set up. If there is no rain I doubt I put any canopies up sunny and 50 will be pleasant from our norms of 90 degrees plus and rain. I will have at least 2 tables on the firing line and 2 portable benches. I will have 2 tables maybe 3 at the cooking area 2 sounds like plenty at this point. I have tons of paper targets from previous shoots. I will have a thermos of coffee plus have my percolator from camping days to keep fresh. I will have the 5 gallon water cooler cups and coffee cups, pound of bacon of course see what the head count is and if I do a fire weather deciding maybe some hot dogs or the fire that's not a definite. The camp chef stove and propane for cooking. I will have some chairs up there but feel free to bring some wont have enough for everyone. I will also set up an emptymag rifle rest lol great idea btw. The field is already prepped if I get time I may try to get another half acre mowed in case. I will take up the 686and 22/45, at 15 and m1a1 maybe the 280 needs shot before hunting season but that might happen bright and early before anyone shows I zero at 200 and doesn't coincide with our firing line. Thanks everyone who is has or will be pitching in its always appreciated.

I'm on the fence. A ride from Western PA would seal the deal.

Re: Ungawa memorial Shoot
I just want to remind everyone the day right now looks like low 30 high of 50. This means frost to start followed by very wet grass that will not dry till mid afternoon if the sun is out. I would recommend something water proof on the feet, sneakers could make it an uncomfortable day. The wind this time of year tends to come across the field expect some form of breeze whether it is the morning thermals or just a breeze so have layers. Looks like we might have a nice turnout.
