I don't know if anyone is interested but I found that cans of barbasol make great, cheap "explosive" targets. I shot a few over the summer, one with .223 which demolished the can and once with a 308 which shredded a can. I don't know if it is environmentally friendly but they can be gotten cheap at the dollar stores.
I'm also thinking of bringing along
a S&W M&P 9
Enfield No4
Stag AR-15
Hatsan Escort Magnum 12ga semi
and maybe my work Berretta 92FS

I know you've never met me, but this is a body built by donuts. This is going to be hard to believe, but I'm a fat, middle aged, White guy. Only cops eat more donuts by demographic.
Seriously, donuts go well. Soda might be a good idea. I wouldn't go to overboard on it. I'm not a soda drinker personally, but I'm sure I'm in the minority. Maybe a couple of twelve packs would probably do. There always seems to be a ton of food at these things and it's easy to over think things. Just bring a little something to share (donuts for example) and that'll be plenty. By the time everyone chips in we have a veritable smorgasbord to choose from. We usually end up leaving a meal fit for a king for the local bear population when this is over.

I will have to sneak it into the car on the way to the shoot.
If my girlfriend sees me buy donuts she is going to hit me over the head with something heavy.

Leonardo Dogcaprio is my wife's dog. He is a cuddler and probably wouldn't leave her side. I'd bring my border collie Radar but he is stupid afraid of guns. Radar even sees me handling a firearm and he runs away,
