Re: What kind of sights are on your carry guns and why?
You only need a front sight on a carry gun. Pick one that you can see at any time of day or night.

Heinie or Sevignty straight eight style sights. Also used Ameriglo's version but prefer the Heinie or Sevignty. I like the simple white outline around tritium front sight and a black rear with single tritium ampule (no white outline on rear). It's not distracting and i can pick up the front sight quick. Additional bonuses are they are steel and have a ledge.

Snake Eye Ghost Rings by Dead Ringer on my shield and Big Dot Trijicon on my Xd9 and Xds45. Because they work for me.

Re: What kind of sights are on your carry guns and why?
My main carry gun (Sig P938) has TRUGLO TFO sights. My Kel Tec P32 has it's crappy sights, but at the distances I'd be using it for, I don't need sights. I'm in the process of transitioning all of my pistols to TRUGLO TFX sights. I run them on all of my other Sigs and my S&W M&Ps. Will be upgrading my 1911s and XDm's next year.

Glock night sights. They are cheap and work well. Sending your stripped slide to Glock for $50 for install and rebuild with new parts is a deal.

Whatever was on them when purchased.
If I ever have to pull the trigger, the target will be very close and serious harm or death to me a real danger.
I may be foolish about this, but if you ever have to use your CCW, you will be tried, convicted, and executed in the media and very likely the court system, so you best be dam sure before you pull that thing out and pull the trigger.
Just my 2 cents...
