I don't support teachers strikes. So the can go fuck themselves instead. Especially instead of carrying while on strike.

And if you're pissed off now over teachers going on strike, imagine how pissed off you'll be when you find out they still get paid for all the days off for striking, plus they'll probably get extra if the school term has to be extended because of the strike.

Blame our elected leaders for putting that into law.

False, pay and healthcare stop when the strike begins, if the district chooses. And they do not get paid extra, salaried for 180 days, which they have to make up when strike ends. So they still work same amount of time. They do not get paid extra......

I'm not quite understanding your original statement that a teacher with a LTCF is exempt from the 1000' rule then.

They are exempt from the Federal Gun Free School Zone Act, but not from the PA law about guns on school property. However.......there was a recent ruling about “for other lawful purpose” in regards to the PA law, so.....while the PA law is still on the books, some DA’s having been dropping charges against people originally arrested under the PA law.

    Federal Law.....exempt.
    PA Law.......take your chances.

Ok. Now I understand. So to go further, does an individual school or district also have the power to restrict possession on their grounds and then terminate employees who would do so?

Like any employer, they're free to set employment terms, which if violated could result in the employee's termination.
