Republicans from Massachusetts aren't really pro gun. Look at Mitt Romney and their former U.S. Senator Scott Brown. There are only pro gun during elections when they are looking for votes from the pro gun people.

It won't pass as described in that video. Why? Mass. LEOs will all be made criminals for properly maintaining their equipment for functionality and safety. Even if there's a carve out in the law for LEOs, they will speak out against it in general terms because they won't enforce it. We saw a similar thing happen in California with some of their stupid, unenforceable regulations.

I'd need to see the proposed law's actual text; a majority of "summaries" of laws are just wrong, on both sides of the aisle. I see lawyers who lack a basic ability to read English text and restate it correctly.

I could not find a direct link to MA's H3979. I the YT video the OP attached a downloadable pdf file of the bill. I read and it and it is hidden in there.
