Re: Reloading Bench.
Good points from everyone...
Indeed, 90% of reloading "problems" come from reloading benches that lack bomb-proof rigidity. Any bench that has any flex in it will affect the quality of your reloading efforts.
I made my bench frame out of 4x4's and then lag-bolted 2x6's to it around the top and bottom (all 4 sides). The 2x6's are mounted flush with the top and about six inches off the floor. The lower frame doubles as a storage shelf and I used mostly 2x12's and 2x8's across the 30" depth for heavy item storage.
The top is a 50" x 2" thick butcher block recycled counter top (rescued from somebody's curb-side trash) and with a few underside wood brackets screwed to the butcher block, fits snugly and doesn't move. Even so, I still mounted (bolted) the press on an additional 2x12 across the front of the top that I have seriously clamped in four different spots - one on each side of the press and one on each end of the 2x12.
Weight of the bench alone is probably 250 lbs and the lower shelf currentlly holds around 550 lbs or so. The press doesn't move.- bamboomaster

Re: Reloading Bench.
I agree with all the advice regarding sturdy and rigid. I think you may have lucked out with the cancellation. From the picture it did not appear heavy or stiff enough. I could be wrong only judging by the picture. A reloading bench takes a lot of torque and many cycles.
I saw this top on amazon and it might be a better starting point.

Add strong legs aunderframe and you have a good work top.
Just another opinion to consider. ( No shortage opinions on the internet)
Good luck and post pics when you have your bench set up

Re: Reloading Bench.
With all respect, "Thank the Lord!" for taking care of the cancellation on your behalf. I'm also glad you didn't pay the extra $63 or so for five years of insurance. Who the heck ever heard of insuring a table probably made in China???
After I posted earlier, I went back to the reloading bench (reloaded 718 .45-70's so far today, have about another 150 or so to go, all from the last PAFOA "3rd Battle of Rauchtown" summer shoot) and just muttered to myself trying to figure out a nice way to tell you "Good luck", "You're screwed", "You're gonna have issues", etc.
Even if you bolt it to the wall, the placement of those dinky legs won't offset the forward rotational forces you get with a reloading press. It certainly wouldn't handle a progressive press (like the Dillon 550B). And the top looks so thin you could probably get enough flex in it to use it as a diving board.
Unless you get overly fancy, for around $100-150, you could build your own rock-solid bench (and have bragging rights to "Made in America")...:- bamboomaster

I know you don't want to break the bank, but here's a Reloading Bench that might soften the spouse's scowl. Serves as a family heirloom which might be a valuable selling point. From personal experience I can tell you they flat out work:

Re: Reloading Bench.
I was given the green light to bring my reloading bench up from the garage it is in great shape, I told the wife I was going to spend $300 on a bench so she changed her mind on letting me use my current setup lolhttps://www.samsclub.com/sams/ultra-...rt_view_588596
