hey it's yours...you're the master. I did the standard...tuned mine to just about strip a round from the mag. Great vids too! Any other mods on your rifle? I've been putting it off but I'm gonna order a Sadlak spring guide. Guys at the M14 forums say good stuff about them.

I'm sure you know this, but for those that don't, this is the place to go for all things pertaining to the last battle rifle.

That's sweet with that can on it! I have the loaded version for many years now. I have an aftermarket spring guide, from Tanks I think. Very stout. Also added a shim kit to the hand gas cylinder, shaved the heat shield to not touch the stock, and added a Buffer Tech recoil buffer. With mil spec, it shoots clover leafs at 100. Commercial is a bit larger at around an 1" average. Would be so cool not to have it part your hair when shooting it as well.

Hanging weight on the end of the barrel is another factor that would leave you with years of testing and load development to achieve accuracy.
Spoken truth! Voodoo is a good word for it. So many things you need to look at on the M1A platform to get the most accuracy out of them, and that doesn't even include the hand loading part. Hanging a can off the end would surely disrupt any previous accuracy work. There's a guy (tonyben3) on YouTube that has several video's that lets you in on some of the voodoo: https://www.youtube.com/user/tonyben...able_polymer=1

I will be checking out the the link, thanks. I have found Scott Duffs book indispensable. Fulton Armory had quite a bit of info as well.

Mine was mostly stock and I just put in a Sadlak NM operating rod spring guide which is miles better than the oem guide rod. This thing super beefy and wortht the $40.
