I don't own an AR. Am I alone?

AR was the first rifle I ever owned. Built it over a year in 2017 like Johnny Cash's "One piece at a time" song. Finally got to shoot it this month. Man, what a blast. Shot the cap off a peanut bottle.

Picked up my first in 06 or so, a group buy on lowers then finished it a year or so later. Just boring 16" plain barrel cheap vanilla upper, but it was mine and it was fun for a start. Then started shooting matches so needed to upgrade, so got a better upper for it...which of course meant I moved the other to another lower and built that. Currently sitting at 3 5.56's, a 6.8, a .300BLK, and a .308. Still a LOT more to do, for instance building more for the little son. Quite frankly, bolt guns annoy me. Modern rifles are all I care for--currently all AR's plus a PSL, but could easily be talked into a PTR91 or VZ58 on opportunity.

anyone who is even remotely interested in building/buying an AR..............there has NEVER been a better time to do it!

If for no other reason - those things are money pits. Always stuff to get, always stuff to do, next thing you know, you've got $40M into it. No thanks.

Yeah - I know you don't HAVE to do anything to it. But if you're going to have a rifle you're not going to do anything to, why bother getting an AR?
