Don't have one. Don't want one (sorta). I would shoot a friend's AR in a heartbeat, but I tend to lean more old school and still need another SA and a pistol caliber lever action to try out cowboy shoots. I've heard they wouldn't like my 32WS or 45/70. So my gun budget money is already spoken for for the foreseeable future.

Good point. That was even 20 years before my time. I've just always had a love for the old straight wall and "power by diameter" calibers. My dream deer hunt is to track a deer through snow and taking it with my flintlock. Came close with rifle once but didn't have a clear shot and they went right to one of my friends.

I'm happy with only 4 handguns, 3 shotguns, 4 air guns, 3 bows and 20 arrows. Don't want one of those scary looking long guns.

I have a couple.
Besides for my own enjoyment, an AR-15 is a great way to introduce younger peeps to firearms.
Also, the more ARs in circulation with regular users, the more “normalized” they will become. More common, less scary, harder to gin up support to restrict.
