I agree, the Timney 3.5 lb trigger is hard to beat. Release is always the same, no surprises.

Geissele SD-3G is light and fast as f*ck! The reset is second to none.

The Timney is really nice. I also have not ever used a Geissele that I didn't like.

As others have suggested geissele is the way to go. I have a SD-3G and it's awesome, but my suggestion would be the B-GRF. It's a curved trigger like their 3 gun trigger and feels indistinguishable from the 3 gun, but about $50 cheaper. Install is a bigger pain in the ass, but that's the only real downside. Also Currently on sale at the link below.

Geissele are nice, sure. I have an SSA. However, I do not feel that the value is equal to the price. I can shoot just as well with my much more reasonably priced ALG QMS. I doubt I would ever pay for another Geissele.

I guess it all depends on what the rifle is for ... If you want a really great trigger and the bragging rights to it, Geissele all the way... my AR's are for fun, and SHTF... I went PSA enhanced triggers on them - smoothed up, then nickel boron coated for slickness - they are OK for $25 more than "standard" triggers - I am not shooting long distance, but looking for a smoother trigger and am ok with these.

The Geissele is ok, but can vary a lot. I have a Jard that breaks at 1.75lbs and a couple Jewells with second stages that break at 1lb. A Trident that breaks at 3lbs for $10..... Honestly, the Hiperfire is probably the best deal on sale.

Some people like 3lb triggers. 3lbs is easy on the AR.
