Thirty years ago the anti gun mission was to ban easily concealable handguns.

In recent years their aim has shifted towards banning semiautomatic rifles and their accessories.

Sorry dude, but they have been trying to ban semi auto rifles for a full thirty years. Yes we have been dealing and fighting this crap since the mid 1980s. Plus they had the focus on concealable handguns too.

I remember those days. Every concealable handgun was dubbed a "Saturday Night Special". They would display some POS wheel gun, and say it was designed to fire only a few rounds before it kaboomed. Then of course lumped every handgun, like all snubbies, into the same sentence. Imagine those dangerous j-frames owned by every LEO of the day being taken off the street.
