    Yeah, we know...

But be sure to put us on the "Call right fuching NOW" list if you are ever hospitalized.

Not to worry, we'll bring you a pile of "gun porn" magazines, and drop off a chocolate cake that feeds 48 or so to the nurses who look after all the alarms that go off in the room.

Maybe you should have to undergo a background check and a mental health examination before you are allowed to open your mouth and exercise your first amendment rights.

Washing after wiping your ass is overrated... there are germs on a gas station pump handle that could drop an elephant.

What's not overrated is to wash before picking up that sandwich and putting it in your mouth.

No, just a little anal to oral action.

There are 2 major false premises and at least 1 minor false premise that the gun banners assume to be true:

The first is that guns are about hunting, that what hunters think defines the limits of our right to keep and bear arms. The Framers weren't guaranteeing our right to hunt for sport or even to fill our larders, they didn't mention game or hunting, or even 'self-defense". They mentioned "the security of a free state". That doesn't allow for 3-round limits or 10-round limits or .50 caliber max size or any other frivolous feel-good laws. It contemplates the citizens being well-enough armed that a standing army is not required. These days, only governments can afford aircraft carriers (or the aircraft), or tanks, or subs. But you can't conquer a nation without boots on the ground, and 60 million AR-15's are a real deterrent to that.

The second is that taking away guns can only save lives, that there's no COST in human lives to taking guns away, as though a gun ban is a cancer cure or a tobacco ban. The fact is that guns in private hands are used to stop or prevent violent crime many hundreds of thousands of times per year. They make rapists afraid (except in Hollywood), they make burglars wait until the occupants are away from home, they make battered ex-wives safer from their abusers. True, not every deterred violent crime would have resulted in the death of an innocent, but some fraction of the lives lost without guns WILL be lost if Americans are substantially disarmed.

A third false premise (less important but still true) is that 10,000 innocent people are killed by thugs with guns every year. We don't include gun suicides (another 20,000) because you don't need a gun to sneak up on yourself and overpower yourself; you can jump off a bridge or out a window or in front of a truck or train, and those all put others at risk. But of the 10,000 homicides per year, some are lawful self-defense, some are cops killing bad guys, and a huge number of them are drug dealers killing other drug dealers. Not exactly "12 year old honor student killed during nearby gang shootout", more like "Smith took over Jones's drug corner by force until Jones came back and shot him".
