Default Replacement rear sight for Savage Rascal.

I have an annoying problem with my 10 year olds' Savage Rascal. The rear diopter sight that adjusts for windage keeps getting loose every few shots and obviously ruins all the fun for her because obviously it being manual, by manual I mean there are no knobs, it takes forever in kids' time to zero it back. Are there any iron replacement sights that can be fitted to Rascal that have more positive windage elevation control and don't come loose easily. It is an awesome little rifle but they missed a mark on the sight IMHO. I am trying to keep it irons for now, no scopes so she learns the proper and hard way of marksgirlship. .

    Thanks a lot.

Problem with blue loctite is that I won't be able to re-adjust it if the zero is slightly off for my kid because of the different shooter geometry. Also it dries pretty fast so I"m not sure that I can zero it properly as it is drying.

Try some thick grease on the threads, or even a little bit of teflon tape.

Blue is the non permanent type. You could also use nail polish or white glue.

Thanks, I'll give it a try, in case it all fails, any ideas on what replacement sights go on that little rifle?

my daughter hated that peep sight on her rascal.
Now, I really wanted her to learn on iron sight first, but she hated so much that she simply didn't want to shoot at all.
So I gave in, and bought cheap 4x32 scope, and now she LOVES the friggin thing, and try to shoot farther and farther.

Sprry, I guess its not answer to your question.
Thought about may be using star washer?
