Default Keystone Accuracy wants you to know..about bump-stocks

Keystone Accuracy in Plymouth Meeting has never sold those icky bump-stocks. From their main webpage:

"At Keystone Accuracy, we have never sold, nor will we ever sell a stock or any other firearms accessory that is believed to be primarily designed to circumvent the Federal Firearms Act of 1934, or the Firearms Act of 1986, where pertaining to NFA weapons. This device and others like it were designed to operate on the absolute fringe of Federal law, while their inception and sales are driven solely by industry greed since the day that they were approved by the BATFE under the Obama administration. This "Obama" stock, (approved in 2010) like other approved actions under the namesake of that president have proven to be a huge disaster for many Americans. Unfortunately, 58 unfortunate American lives have most recently been sacrificed to prove its ill fallen merit. This is not a political statement in any way, just a proclamation of what we are not willing to sell, as they just don't fit with our focus of precision rifles.

Just to be very clear, Keystone Accuracy is a type 07 Federal Firearms License holder in good standing and is strictly regulated in accordance with all BATFE regulations and is engaged in the business of legally manufacturing and custom building precision rifles and rifle barrels for the purposes of responsible sportsman, hunters, and military & police use. If you wish to procure anything item that falls into this area of the law, please look elsewhere. Although, Keystone Accuracy is engaged in the same industry as some who wish to sell items in order to circumvent federal law, we just want to make it absolutely clear that we do not and never will condone or engage in slime hustling** that a small group of greedy purveyors who share this industry have so blatantly displayed to their customer base in order to turn a fast buck on high margin."

Seems like an awful lot of political statements packed into something that's supposedly not a political statement.

Wouldn't it have been sufficient to simply keep selling their "precision rifles" without bump stocks and call it a day? Why choose to wade into this and then claim they're not being political about it?

Why would a place that specializes in precision rifle shooting be even concerned about bump stocks. Bumps are not exactly found on precision rifles.

I agree. If they didn’t sell any in the past, and don’t intend to sell any in the future even if the Las Vegas shooting did not happen , why make the statement? They are just turning away future customers who don’t agree with it.

Typical of people who think the instrument of the crime is the important focus. The statement is foolish, in that, it does not recognize the inadequacy of the laws regulating full-auto firearms. In fact, it makes excuses for the poorly-worded law...which led BATF to judge bump stocks to be legal.

This is the same kind of reasoning that concludes that anyone using tax law to complete personal advantage is a slime ball.

GL makes an excellent point, showing how wordy crap can be spun. Better to maintain one's countenance.

Businesses are run by humans, and all humans have personal agenda's and beliefs. When you see a statement come from a business like this I guarantee the owner is letting his personal feelings about something leak into how he conducts business. Many times this is a mistake to do so and can prove to be detrimental to the business. I've always said: just because you like guns and turned it into your vocation, doesn't automatically make you a good business man.

Hey, if that kind of statement is good enough for the NRA, then it's good enough for some Fudds at a local gun dealer. So they demonized not only bump fire stocks, but also binary triggers, cranks, Mossberg Shockwaves and similar "firearms", SIG braces and the like, 37mm flare launchers, etc.. I see they are borrowing the whole "Obama angle" from the NRA's statement, as well. Remind me again about how the NRA didn't do any damage to our cause or create division among us...

Keystone Accuracy can go f' themselves. Anyone who is willing to toss the other side a sacrificial lamb just because you don't care about that specific product is not a true believer in the pro-2A cause.
