Senior Hunting License
I purchased my Resident Hunting license in June along with my Anterless license etc. as they became available. At the time, I was 64 years old. The beginning of September I turned 65. My question is, in the upcoming Jr/Sr. early antlerless season, am I allowed to carry a rifle as a senior or do I still fall under the Adult Resident guidelines?

Re: Senior Hunting License
By any chance do you know exactly what the language in the regs says?

Re: Senior Hunting License
If you turn 65 during the license year (and you do) you are eligible to buy your lifetime license. Did you do so? I would contact the game commission to see what you can do.

Re: Senior Hunting License
I would say probably not unless you have a senior license, but I'm no expert. You should have bought a senior license.

Re: Senior Hunting License
The regulations state "Also included are persons who have reached or will reach their 65th birthday in the year of the application for a license and hold a valid adult license, or qualify for license and fee exemptions under section 2706".
I contacted GC headquarters and South Central Regional office on this issue and received two different answers. I think you are good to go.

Re: Senior Hunting License
Kingb-44.,
Thanks for taking the time to research this and making a call. I did finally find this explanation after I read your reply.
I thought for sure somebody would of been down this road already and could answer without hesitation.
Thank again.
