My fastest, easiest gun to clean is my S&W Model 41 .22 semi-auto. Yes, I clean it every time (I've had it 21 years). My other 2 are stainless revolvers (S&W 617 and 686), which are a bit of a pain, but I clean them.
I would never own a Ruger Mk.1, 2,or 3 unless I wanted to drive myself insane.

I think when you have a nice gun like the 41, you take good care of it.

How about the buckmark where you need to remove the sight to take it down?

My Contenders are easiest, my stainless MkII is only a challenge if I forgot to bring the manual downstairs...

Ruger Mk IV, set to safe, drop the mag, push the button, take out the action and clean. 10 mins tops.

most people would say cleaning a flintlock is a messy/lengthy process. In my case, its what I shoot most often so I have a system down and the required tools are always close at hand. Its usually less then one beer in duration. A particularly long shooting session may require a second beer.

    I like your time standard.
