Default 2017 Blue Mountain Steel Classic

First time ever shooting this match. I may have been slow, but I missed a lot! It was a great amount of fun. Got to run the RIA .45 with light loads and it felt pretty good. Gun ran OK, the shooter needs work.

That's what i kept telling myself. I'm blowing through a butt-ton of ammo, but I'm having fun. \

It really was fun. That gun was used for IDPA previously and never shot more that 20-30 rounds at a time after the time went off. I've had plenty of range sessions, but nothing like this where I was dropping 40-50 rounds a stage in the span of 30-40 seconds. That's just fun.

I shot revolver last year with all the movers. Too much pain. This year I solved my inability to use the front sight with an EOTech on a rifle.

It was a whole lot of fun and the crew ran the event well.

If the PSA offers PCC class next year, my 1911 may never come out of the safe again...

I'm already working on a 9mm that I'm going to be able to use in several different divisions in Steel Challenge... would work great for Open or Stock for these matches as well. If I get it then I know where to get 30-round mags for it... Hello Open Unlimited!
