Default ARRESTED: Open carrier on school grounds

I'm surprised this hasn't been posted already (or search failed me). Could be interesting in light of the Goslin decision.

A Carbon County man faces a firearm charge after being spotted by police openly carrying a .45-caliber handgun on the grounds of a Northampton County school, the police said Wednesday.

why is a grown man with no children in the school wandering around the school on a school day during school hours?

does the man have children at all?
forget the firearm or "test case"
was he on a sidewalk, taking a shortcut across a lawn or creeping in the bushes?

there is a highschool that i pass which has residential behind and adjacent to it, with a DD and a pizza hut across street... it's conceivable someone takes a shortcut across their lawn to get a coffee.

I suspect this could get knocked down to a D.C. and court costs. D.A.'s don't like these cases. The guy may come out smelling like money in the end!

If police ignored him and he used the gun to shoot people, guess what would be said. It's a typical damned if you do, damned if you don't. How many times has a politician preached erring on the side of caution might save one child and is worth it. People seem to buy that one unless you are a cop.
