Come join us for a Wilderness and Remote First Aid (WFA) training session on October 7th & 8th at Tyler State Park in Newtown, PA. This is the ideal opportunity for outdoorsmen and non-outdoorsmen alike to learn to deal with medical emergencies. This class is particulary applicable to all of my mountain biking friends and traibuilders!!

A course overview can be found here: http://www.penntrails.com/res/progra...2017-(B)-1.pdf

The course is being taught by Jim Boling of Penn Trails, LLC. Jim is a life long avid outdoorsman and is a certified American Red Cross Instructor, Wilderness First Responder, Professional Level Basic Life Support provider and a Level III Search & Rescue Technician. Jim is also a 34 year combat veteran with the U.S. Army and has worked some elements of his combat experience into the WFA program.

The course will be held rain or shine, and will involve 16 hours of instruction, with about 5 hours in the classroom and the rest outdoors, in a practical hands-on setting with simulated scenarios. Classes will begin at 8am and end at around 5pm on both Saturday and Sunday.

At the time of the class, all participants must possess a current, valid Adult CPR/AED certification or must participate in an extra-curricular Adult CPR/AED session that Jim will be teaching after class on Saturday.

The cost of the course is $225 for those already certified in CPR/AED. For those in need of the CPR certification, there is a $65 additional fee.

The class size is limited to 15 participants on a first come, first serve basis.
