    Default Winchester 1906

Anyone familiar with this gun? I have the opportunity to pick one up pretty reasonably - takedown model in 22 long/short. This is not the actual gun, it's one I saw on GB but looks and condition are about the same. Just curious value - it's pretty neat.

I've had two.. bought years ago at a good price.. sold one 25/30 years ago for around $450 it was all there original stock sights etc.. wasn't the prettiest thing you ever saw..
I still have the other one its been restocked and has a different front sight on it .. just a fun plinker... Prices are all over the board on them I've seen ones that sold for around $300 up to $800.. have not kept up on them lately.. hopefully someone here has some insight on them

Thanks. I liked the look of the smooth vs ribbed stock on the pump, and the worn but in tact condition. I have a Stevens visible loader, a Savage pump and a few others and thought it might fit in nicely.

It is one of the most beloved, classic .22 rimfires one can own. It is a J M Browning design (of course!).

I have a soft spot for those old pump action .22 rifles as well. Watch out! Buying one of these can lead to an addiction. (Wait a minute, who am I talking to anyway?)
