    Default ADVANTAGE (video)

    Hi:

Recently I was issued a permit to shoot from my vehicle (F350). I had a difficult time reconciling the pluses and minuses of this permit. For me to give up hunting groundhogs was unfathomable. My passion was to stop altogether, not by choice, but health issues. You will be surprised at my answer----ADVANTAGE !------What I ask for is not to be arguing if this law is right or wrong (I will delete thread if it gets rough) the theme is ADVANTAGE !

Any questions shoot them at me.

    fossil--------part 2 is next post

This is part 2 Some givens---Guns can be loaded, I can not use vehicle to find game (like spot lighting at night), I have to be off traveled portion of road, and conform to Game Laws.----I have a fold up chair to shoot from bench, plus sandbags. I can cover at 200 yards a good 150 yard pie shape shooting from bench.

Does this turn into an advantage ? Even though I am beat-up physically, the permit 'using your vehicle as a blind' is a definite ADVANTAGE for me.

I can't really tell you exactly why, but I believe the perspective was a major plus modification for me.

Not laying on the ground with a 24 up to a 40 power scope, finding the target was hard work. Shooting off of my bench in the truck improved that element big time. I am not shifting my body on the ground, but shifting the gun on the bench rest---------it can be frustrating when you can't find the target in a jacked up scope. I get none of that shooting from the bench.

The down side is videoing. It was easier on the ground then in the truck-----So I traded an advantage in one element for a disadvantage in an other element.
