Buying SKS From Private Person
So tomorrow I'm gonna meet a guy in a park about a Norinco SKS for a reasonable price. This is a non FFL private citizen transaction. Two bills of sale will be filled out and given to each participant. Not third party witnesses will be there.
Anything I need to know about the SKS or transaction?
Im also planning on just slugging it over my shoulder, since it has no rear sling mount, and walking home . Meeting place is not far from home just Im not sure if carrying a rifle like an 18th century infantryman is still legal.

Re: Buying SKS From Private Person
Putting it in a case makes it concealed carry pretty sure. I don't have an LTCF because I have no friends to list as character references.

It's a License to Carry a Firearm, the SKS is not a firearm.

"Firearm." Any pistol or revolver with a barrel length less than 15 inches, any shotgun with a barrel length less than 18 inches or any rifle with a barrel length less than 16 inches, or any pistol, revolver, rifle or shotgun with an overall length of less than 26 inches. The barrel length of a firearm shall be determined by measuring from the muzzle of the barrel to the face of the closed action, bolt or cylinder, whichever is applicable.
You don't need an LCTF to carry a long gun in a case, or openly, because it's not considered a firearm under that statute.Rules are written in the stone,
