looking to buy a Remington R1 1911

I was eyeballing a Remington R1 1911 pistol at field and stream, but it says it's chambered in .45 short colt/ .45 colt goverment. now is this the same as .45acp or is it it's own distinct round that I am going to have to hunt down and purchase?

It's the same. The R1 shoots 45acp.

For God sakes try and find someplace else to buy it though. I somehow doubt they're the cheapest and F&S/Dick's isn't someplace any gun owners should be supporting.

Fair point I'll look at our local gun shops as well I'm thinking I can get better service anyways

The R1 is a nice gun. Around that same price point is the Ruger SR 1911, worth looking at as well.
