Default WTK: Anyone have an M14 Castle Tool in Delco or Lower Merion

Next week I will be receiving an M14 FH with bayonet lug. I am looking to find someone near me who has an M14 Castle Nut tool that I could borrow or stop by with my M1A and use your tool for a swapout the FH. I am in Wynnewood Pa., 19096.

I am in the Delaware Co. area every day.

Please PM me if you can help me out.

    Thank You!

Be sure to back out the tiny setscrew first . . .

    Just a public service reminder.

    I made my own.
Go to Harbor Freight and by a pair of 6" Swivel Pad Lock-grip pliers (https://www.harborfreight.com/6-inch...ers-39534.html)
Grind off the swivels and then grind down the ends into pins that fit into the slots on the flash hider nut.
Look at this YouTube video and you can see what I'm taking about (Far right tool on the table) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MzPw9BD56hU

I had a friend who failed to do that. It destroyed his castle nut tool when he tried to force the nut off with the screw still in place. Shame he moved away because he had to buy a new one.

I have one but I'm in Upper-Upper Bucks.

I'll be damned if I can find my alignment tool though.

I'm in middle Bucks and have one if you ever get up this way.

For years before I had the tool I used a small 1/16 inch punch/ ball peen hammer and lightly tapped the castle nut to loosen it. Go easy and it will work.

I can also mail you the tool as well.
