Re: Fair price for pistols?
The P38 ammo (9 mm) is relatively easy. I would suggest trying out both 115 and 124 grain ammo but make certain that it has a regular ogive as these pistols were not designed for hollow points and a slightly hotter 124 may well be optimal. Would also suggest changing out the recoil springs, the Walther has two. I have a relatively unusual Nagant (the "Sport Model") which is SA only with target grips. Enjoy both if you get them. Dave_n

Re: Fair price for pistols?
So I got the go ahead from the wife. We are meeting up with my coworker on Tuesday and I am trading my 30-06 Savage axis with Bipod for his Walther. My wife wasn't sold on the Nagant or for paying additional money for both, so I get the Walther. She at least said it looks cool, and her initial thought about it was that it looked like something the Nazis would have used.

Pretty sure that's a post war example since they didn't mark them Walther during the war. If it has any issues Invest in New springs from wolf and it should run fine.

Re: Fair price for pistols?
I've already been told by the current owner that it's a post war model. I was just adding my wife's comments. I'm doing my research, according to my coworker it's a post war Czechoslovakian pistol. Once I see it up close I'm going to check the S/N, but I think I can see an importer mark on the front of the grip under the trigger guard.
