anyone remember what's the going price for a case of MREs at Oaks?
need to buy a few cases.

Big demand for MREs right now because of all the Hurricane damage in Texas,Florida and the Carribean Islands !

Does anybody actually buy any guns at the oaks show? I find the pricing to be out of line with the rest of the world. It is like they are using gunbroker pricing.

Last year I bought a new Mossberg 590A1 I found there for a good price. Also a Colt/Magpull M-4 I thought was a good deal also. You just gotta shop around. And get some pickles.

On a similar note, anybody know the name of the Glock guy who is always there and does upgrades and sights while you wait? I need to update some night sights and was hoping he would have what I need and I would just get it done there.

All I'm looking for these days is good prices on ammo and I'll buy anything I can use if the price is right and there are a couple of calibers that I need. I had one guy selling .338 Win Mag for $20 for a box that was short one round and another guy wanted $60 for a box. That latter got pissed when I told him it was too much and walked away, fuck him, he's a robber. I have to plot things better though...when I go through and figure out what/where to buy I can't find the FN stand again!

I have bought several guns at the show and all were well below what I would have had to pay locally. They were close to average online prices. They were not AR or AK variants. It depends on what is popular at the time. Those guns always seem to be at Philadelphia gun store prices.

Carry a note pad. It helps.
