2017 Hunting Thread
I didn't see anything threads started for Archery this year, so I'm creating this thread and figured it would be left open to rifle later on in the season too. Feel free to merge or close if this is a dupe thread.
I found the link below a very helpful resource for shot placement on a deer during archery. The info is already available most other places, but for relative newbs like me, the visual/interactive part is helpful in explaining the importance of shot placement.

Been out a few times now, opening day had a tiny buck eat my corn and stare at me knowing I couldn't shoot him So far I am still hopeful for my spot, been active with deer just gotta get them to be there when I am.

I'm hunting NY again this year, opening day is 10/1 for Archery.
I'm feeling good about this year, had some doozies show up on trail cam.

Backyard cams haven't has much activity. 1 shooter but nocturnal and have only seen him once.
Crossbow needed tweaked but hit real good out to 50.Opinions are like anal apertures. They all stink but mine.

I'll be out Saturday, weather looks to break Thursday so that helps.
Haven't been to cabin since Labor Day so no idea of current activity.

I am also hunting PA and NY. Hoping for a bear in NY. Temps to drop Thursday so it should be good early morning and evening. Too early in the season to stay out all day.
