Saw a few deer, all does.
Leaves are still green, so visibility sucks.
Saw a nice bear last night, but no buck yet. Not a single rub or scrape to be found either. Hopefully better hunting in the next week or two.

Was in the woods this morning for old man's rifle doe season.
Had a woodpecker pounding away, 3 squirrels about 30 feet away husking black walnuts but saw no deer.
Tomorrow is another Saturday to try again.
It got too warm about 11 AM.
Opinions are like anal apertures. They all stink but mine.

Smashed this doe with a 250gr smackdown at 60 yds or so out of the PA pellet rifle on Monday. I was in the same spot I shot my rifle buck in last year for the most part hiding in the weeds Was shady goings though, wind was howling and I had a negative ignition, luckily she froze in place. Butt puckered a bit, then the Flintrock let loose with the second shot. Deer are everywhere now thank god, it's been slow in the early going. Beautiful buck appeared in my backyard tonight, 1st I've seen all year. Looked to be a 10, I'll start after him in the morning with the bow. This weather has sucked for the most part, lucky that little cold spell moved in to give some breathing room to process this lovely lady. 2 tags left......
