drop in trigger
Took my first AR build with a drop in trigger to the range today. Worked great for first 30 rounds or so, then, something went wrong. The trigger stays back after pulling, and you have to push it forward manually, it then fires again but sticks back and you have to push it forward manually every time. Didn't have time today to work on it - hopefully when I pop it out tomorrow the fix will be obvious? I'm not gunsmith, so hopefully simple. Any thoughts ?

Re: drop in trigger
Check fitment? I had the same issue when I did a trigger job on my CZ scorpion. Had to polish a little and put a shim in and was fine.
I'm not sure about drop in triggers. Just an idea?

Re: drop in trigger
Assuming the manufacturer of the drop-in trigger supplied instructions, including testing for operation and safety evaluation. May even be a troubleshooting page.
If the cause doesn't quickly become identified, suggest Googling make and model of the drop in. If it is a known problem, the answer might be online. Failing that, call customer service.
If it turns out to be a defect, letting us know the make and model might be helpful to people contemplating obtaining one. Or, if it was an error, letting us know that might also be good to know.

Re: drop in trigger
Well, I broke open my AR, and to my novice eye, I did not see anything wrong. I tried it, and the trigger was still not returning on it's own. So, I just sprayed cleaner in, sprayed it around a bit, then took some super fine oil and dropped all over springs, etc, and the trigger started working every time. Concerned that it happened at all, hate to have an in-reliable gun, but i'll put a few hundred rounds through her next trip and hopefully no hic-ups!

Re: drop in trigger
L stands for light (a film of lube barely visible to the eye) G stands for Generous (can be spread with a finger) 1 and a drop symbol means one drop.
