My Blind Uncle Was Attacked

We've had some long discussions here regarding blind people and their right to carry firearms.

I wonder - did they know he was blind before they attacked? (does he use a cane?)

Living in Maryland, he would never be issued a carry permit.
Thats one of the main reasons I moved out of there.

He uses a cane in low light conditions.

Again, there was no hidden agenda regarding the description of the black assailants. It could have easily been any race in that city who attacked him.
I was just stating the facts.

I also grew up around Baltimore and even lived in the city. I don't know if it's changed since I lived there, but the people who hung around Patterson Park were sketchy at best, and that was in the daytime. You wouldn't catch me there at night with a platoon of Marines.

I'm so thankful to have escaped that shit pool.

This really has nothing to do with race, age, or blindness, although the media love to include those elements because they make for a better "news worthy" story. If there was a LE or veteran element to the story then that would be a bonus.

Bottom line is there's vacancy in Hell for anyone who rolls someone else for their money.

How long ago did you move away from Baltimore?
Patterson Park at night is like the Warriors movie, but during the day time its mostly a bunch of hipsters walking around.

But Highlandtown is really going through a change.
About 10 years ago, teh city tries to gentrify the area, but it didn't seem to work out.

I moved up here a little more than 15 years ago. I remember people would go to the park in the daytime, but the sketchy ones I was referring to back then were the ones who just hung out there.

I remember when they tore down the projects by Little Italy and Fells Point and basically gave the residents money to move out of the city. All they did was transport crime into the suburbs and places like Glen Burnie became even worse, as hard to believe as that is.
