    Default Handmade Kitchen Mallets

If you do a lot of cooking, I'm sure you know how crappy the modern day mallets are for flattening meat. They don't have the weight or the surface area to do it well. I solved that problem by making my own mallet. Thought I'd make a few more while I still have a supply of this really nice white oak laying around.

Each one of these was hand turned on a 50+ year old lathe, I'm still learning the lathe so these aren't going to be expert quality, but they function, they're strong and have the right amount of weight to make it easy to use without having to put a lot of swing into it. Each one weighs 2lbs 2oz, sanded baby bottom smooth and finished with mineral oil. To use them, just cover the meat you want to pound with a piece of plastic wrap and pound away.

The two at the top I'm asking for $25, the one in the middle is "blemished" and is priced at $15. The blemished one will work fine, but it had a knot in the wood that wasn't visible until I got it turned down. It's been filled with a "putty" made of sawdust that came from it and wood glue. It shouldn't affect it's usage. Each handle is fastened to the head by a 5/8" once piece shaft and wood glue.

Home made Ice Cone Forms, each one comes with a recipe and instructions for making cones as well as a recipe for Chocolate Ice Cream. $15 each.

PM me for payment and delivery methods.
