    Angry stock too short

Chinese sks stock is too short, it has me hunched over too much. Is there some way to lengthen it (please don't tell me to get a wood stretcher)

It throws the look off but I'm sure you've thought about the limb saver rubber butt pad sleeves. They add at least an inch if my memory serves correct.

+1 on the limb saver or only shoot it in the winter when you are wearing a heavy jacket

If you need more length than a recoil pad alone provides, you can add spacers under the recoil pad. https://www.brownells.com/rifle-part...-prod9650.aspx

Trade or sell it and get a Yugo SKS! The "pad" on the Yugo SKS is about 3/4(?) thicker.

fill a bucket with warm water and let the backend of the stock soak over night.
should swell up about an inch....

+1 on the thick recoil pad.

There's also the aftermarket stock option-- but they often require some handi-work to get a proper fit.

You could also get a bipod and shoot prone or from a bench.

You must also yell "Wolverines" while doing this.

Give us more info on your Chinese SKS. Premium examples go for big $$ today so don't butcher it up, your mod needs to be reversible.

Get a thick shoulder pad or look into getting one of those crappy aftermarket "tactical" stocks
