Load Development 6.5 X 55 S.E.
Continuing work with my CZ 550.
Here are the results from testing Norma's MRP powder. The powder seems very good. Results look OK. Somewhat odd that the lightest charge with the 100 gr. bullet gave the best accuracy. While the heaviest charge gave 120 gr. bullets the best accuracy.
These loads are based on Norma Data for bullets of similar weight.
I wish one (or more) of the powder or bullet companies would do some serious work on the 6.5 X 55 S.E. (AKA SKAN). Modern actions can take much more pressure than the old mil-surp Swedish Mausers. Vihta Vuori has some but only for Lapua bullets, Speer has some but for only 3 bullets.

Re: Load Development 6.5 X 55 S.E.
Take any published load and just slowly work up the powder until you get pressure signs. My CBI barreled savage 110 will push any 140 gr bullet over 2900 fps using either H4831sc or IMR4955. And very accurate to boot!
