She had an non-lethal option. Don't get into a fight about stupid shit, and teach your kids the same strategy.

I grew up a half mile North of 8 mile road, which is the border between Detroit and the suburbs. I had a high school acquaintance get shot and killed in a drive by while he was using a pay phone. I may not think it is justified that this mother pulled the gun when she did but, people in that area are crazy and you can get beat or killed for looking at someone the wrong way.

Has there been any conclusion to this yet or is it still pending?

I would not have pulled my gun in that situation. That is all I can say.

It is sadly telling that one of the aggressors quickly walked back to her cart where her two unattended young children watched their mother engage in an assault. My first thought is that it is not worth the notebook. However people do foolish things for foolish reasons. I have psychiatrically hospitalized many kids who hurt others or themselves after such trivial things as losing use of a cell phone. A small embarrassing trigger can lead to something much bigger. If a retreat was not possible in the walmart scenario, i would have used pepper spray instead. If i was then pursued with weapons, then i may consider lethal force.
