Glock 17 ejecting shells at my face

Relatively weakly-loaded ammo will send brass in your face out of a Glock. For example, Tula and UMC will do it in my G19s and G21s. I installed 30274 ejectors (mentioned by bripro above) in the 19s and the tendency was greatly reduced, but nit completely eliminated. When firing Win, Federal, Fiocchi, or my handloads, it was never a problem because those rounds were "hotter."

I've had it happen over the years with my Glock 17 Gen 4 and usually it is the weaker ammo involved.

I put in a 13 lb recoil spring and a Gen 4 30274 ejector and it helped a lot. Now it only happens sometimes and it's always the last round. I may need to check my mags. The gen 4 ejector didn't fit into the Gen 3. It's too long to fit all the way into the frame. It bottomed out. I measured the gen 3 part and cut the bottom of the new one to match with a Dremel. I went with the lighter spring to increase the slide speed and hopefully throw the rounds out further. I've put about 1k rounds through the gun since the modification and it works great. No more failures to eject and only a handful of shells hitting me in the head.
