Re: Thoughts on 6.5 creedmoor
My wife is 5' 2" and not all that strong, hence why I want to get her to try bench shooting. I'm 6'2" and I'll shoot just about anything but she has some strict preferences at the moment. I'm trying to get her to not be afraid of larger bore rifles.

Being a handloader helps. A round can be toned down to an extent and incrementally increased to build tolerance and acceptance. How about a Caldwell Lead Sled or similar for taming recoil on the bench?

Re: Thoughts on 6.5 creedmoor
I won a Weatherby Vanguard in 6.5 CM. It sits in the safe till I decide what to do with it. No sights, so I need $500-$1000 worth of glass for it. Then ammo at $20 a box. For a long range gun that I'll never use.
