    Default Chemung issuance time for bradford co. Residents

    Hey guys,

    Just curious for you bradford guys and gals out there how long you waited to get that nys carry permit from our friendly neighbors in Chemung? I have my pa ltcf already and I'm going to be renting an apartment in Bradford. The wife has family in Niagara co and it's a PITA to leave my defenses at home. I'd much rather take them with me. I'm just curious what the average is with you guys thus far.

    Thanks,

    Tom

    I don't think thats enough to get the permit in NY. "For instance, a Bradford County resident applying in Chemung County must own land, work or frequently do business in Chemung County, or be a current or retired law enforcement officer. The reverse is true for a Chemung County resident applying in Bradford County."
    Stay armed my friends.

    Once you rent the apartment get your PA Drivers license and LTCF updated for the new address then apply.. expect 90-120 days for the permit stamped "Hunting, Target"..

    @wrangler1120

    "frequently do business in Chemung County" I go to NY a lot. I just noted in there my wife's family lives in Niagara Co. When we go there its normally for a week so i really miss carrying. After awhile putting on my gun started to feel like a belt. You really start to notice it when you forget it at home or cant bring it. I do cross the boarder alot which this covers as that statement.

    @Parrisk

    Does your PA LTCF say hunting/target? Did you select Hunting/Target on the NYS paperwork? I'm just curious why they do not match the self defense stamp on my PA permit. Kinda weird to be honest, when this was "in the news" it felt a hell of a lot more geared towards self defense and not hunting or target. Lets me honest Hunting and Target are both probably a hell of alot more money in NYS than PA haha.

    Thanks to both of you for joining in on here!!
