    Default bi-metal jacketed ammo

I ordered two cans of this http://www.sgammo.com/product/308-wi...-grain-bi-meta

before seeing the words "bi-metal" jacket in the ad in big letters...

simple question..is this safe to shoot in my expensive gas guns?

Its not going to choke your gas system if thats what your asking. Steel/copper clad jacket. Berdan primer. Would lean corrosive if I had to guess.

its non corrosive...was more concerened about the "bi metal" jacket causing more wear than usual on the rifling...

probably need to work on my attention to detail skills when ordering ammo i guess.

some ranges don't allow it. if a magnet sticks you may not be able to shoot it.

The steel used for jackets is very mild , much softer than the hardened chrome-moly steel of the barrel , and the copper plating acts as a lubricant.
