I have a Gen 4 19 and Im really happy with it.
But these gen 5's really are nice.

Wasnt this the Glock the FBI and Army was going to adopt until they bought those lemons?

ETA: Why is there only one reinforcing pin on it?
I thought they did away with that in teh Gen 2's.

Feel like a total fanboy, but yeah, I'm interested.

If they feel as good in the hand as I'm expecting, I'll be very tempted to sell my gen4 17 and 19, and then the 34 if/when they expand to that model later. I don't think we'll see a non-grooved 26, but anything is possible.

Some of those features are nice but didn't the FBI have trouble with their initial production run of pistols? IIRC, FBI requested certain internal changes and when the guns started to hiccup they blamed Glock.

I like Glocks. But IMO the "M" designation doesn't warrant a generational upgrade title. It's lipstick on an already proven design.

    I've had a "few" 19 since 2005 (by last count 15-18 Gen 3 19s, 5 Gen 4 19s, and 3 Gen 2 19s) so I can say with some certainty; I'll be picking up a Gen 5 19 down the line.

NO FINGER GROOVES? Finally I can party like it's 1983 again.

Yay, no stupid uncomfortable finger grooves. Are they dishwasher safe?

Then Gen 5 is a very nice pistol. Liked the Beveled Magazine Well, Ambi Slide Locks/Releases. No Finger Grooves(fine with me). Trigger is
Okay, but like the any pistol I own, gets smoother with use. I was handling the G17 9mm. I will be adding it to the rest of the tupperware
collection. There are some modification to the slide, especially at the muzzle end. Looks pretty darn nice.
