    Question LOOKING FOR AN ATTORNEY

Considering pursuing action against a company I have a loan for that I am pretty sure is screwing me over.

Anyone have a name of a good "are you getting ripped off?"-type attorney in Central PA that I could speak to? I've run some numbers and think I have a solid case. I'd prefer if we could settle without going to court of course.

    Thanks for any help.

Stop posting and consult an attorney.

I was going to recommend William Pelhan in Lancaster, but he seems to be more of a personal injury guy, so I am not sure if this is in his baliwick.

CGA has a few good lawyers I've been involved with over the years, and I know they cover various aspects of business law. You could start with Ron Perry, and he could point you in the right direction.

Contact your county bar association. Tell them you need a lawyer who specializes in consumer debt. You will get a list to choose from. Internet search the question of how to select an attorney. Learn the questions. Meet with the attorneys and ask the questions.

How many cases like yours have the handled?
How many were resolves without a court case?
How many did they take to trial?
Of the trial cases how many did they win?

    Sorry for the late reply.

I had a civil issue and this guy helped me:

    Kevin Robinson
    (717)334-3341
    ROBINSON & KOENIG
    60 East Middle Street
    Gettysburg, PA 17325

A contractor screwed me over to the tune of $3,000 without doing ANY work on my house. Mr. Robinson pursued the matter as far as I was willing to pay. We won the civil judgement but because the contractor ran the business from his home it would have required an appeal and more money to the courts. At that point we decided to call it off and tack it up to a stupid tax.

The contractor's name was Craig A. Weikel. Last I saw him he was bar tending at Something Wicked in Hanover a couple years ago.
