New to hunting, and left-handed

Hi folks.

Recently a friend of mine that is also an NRA certified instructor has slowly gotten me interested in hunting. I won't be ready for this season, but between now and next year I plan on doing a whole lot of training and practicing so that when season rolls around, I will be a safe, responsible, and respectful member of the hunting community.

I happen to live and will be mostly hunting in areas where only shotguns are permitted. Between now and next year (yes, I have plenty of time) I would like to start researching shotguns. Unfortunately, I am left handed, and from what I hear, decent left-handed shotguns are like unicorns. So, I have two questions:

• Are there any left-handed hunters here that can recommend a decent right-handed shotgun with a rifled barrel under $1,000?
• If I really should stick with a left-handed model, is the Remington 870 Express (LH model) good enough to start with?
