Idlewild

Does anyone know if Idlewild has metal detectors and if it is posted. The website seems to list a no firearms policy, but I wasn't sure how strictly that was enforced.

Any pertinent info would be appreciated.

A word of advice, if you are going to carry and ride any rides, you as a responsible gun owner need to make sure that weapon is secured.
The place is full of kids who haven't been taught proper firearm rules, your carry piece falling into the seat of the Scrambler for a kid to grab and yell "LOOK!!!!" isn't something anyone needs.

Now, I'm all for carrying, but, Idlewild is not Kennywood or some other city park filled with crips, bloods, the klan or Antifa.
I use my judgement when at Idlewild, my gun stays locked in my car most times.

no metal detectors when I went last year. The gate/pay area is while your still in your car. That being said I left it in my car because I was worried about it falling out while on a ride.
