    I've been refinishing my firearms for a few years. Cerakote is tough in the thermal cured DIY. I've also used KG Gunkote aka Norrell's Moly Resin. The key is prep work as you want to remove all traces of oil on your parts.

    Why not take a look at hard chrome, OP?

    I can understand not wanting to spend a lot since they are Taurus made firearms, but if you want to save money...get KG or Norrells and DIY.

    I used duracoat on my rifle barrel and brake, so far so good, but I don't go throwing it around so not a true test of the coating.
