I've used my rattle-can Rembrandt abilities on a couple guns in the past. One was a rusty and beatup Marlin 60, it's still ugly. The other was a camo Mossberg 500 that I turned into a blackgun - it actually turned out decent.

Well, I've done an AR (not for me, for a paying customer) upper, lower and quad rail in S&W red. When I first finished it, it was "uh, I just don't know" But everything else on it was black and when completely put together it actually looked pretty good. It was for a guys girlfriend, he said if she would keep shooting, she could have it any color she wanted. She looked at all my swatches, and decided on S&W Red so that's what I did.

Did another AR and the barrel/receiver for a Ruger 22/45 for a guys daughter, the Ruger, AR upper and lower were Bright Purple.

Hey, they choose the color and pay me, I don't question their choices

When I "built" my AK from a Saiga config, I finished it with blavk engine enamel in some places and it actually turned out even better than I thought. i have a Bulgarian Makarov which is a bit worn. Now this gives me an idea...

I might try buffing it hard first to kind of uniform the existing bluing. I'm wondering if some guns' existing finish might not bond the enamel as well as others. Deserves some further reading I suppose...
