This is no different than the not-a-registration list that the PA State Police uses to register guns. When will we put a stop to illegal gun registration in all of it's forms?

If that is not registration, I do not know what is.

In PR states like NJ, Cali, etc, this may not be a distinction, but here it is!
Poster is right, this has nothing to with crime solving, it is back door gun registration. In order to match the shells to a gun they need the numbers on the guns firing pin.

This is a solution in search of a problem. Ever since the 1930's law enforcement has been able to determine which bullets were fired from which gun, so how is this legislation going to improve on what already exists? The answer is it won't and we all know this is just another infringement on firearms ownership by the gun banners.

Gee, I wonder what requirement they are going to come up with next - a camera to be installed on every round so that the shooter can be identified by a picture?
Relationships between men and women can be difficult - but not impossible.

Is that even true. I thought the science behind ballistic testing was mostly bullshit and that they don't really stand up in court. Didn't a state that mandated all guns be test-fired for their database just shut down the testing center because in 10 years they only solved like 2 crimes?

As for bullet-cam, I remember seeing something about a gun mounted camera that would activate when its unholstered or something, that was suggested for police to use in addition to a body cam.

But that will be illegal, so people won't do that.

Just like "Gun Free" zones, where people never ever get shot or kil, oh, wait - never mind!!
